Event video

Event footage has two uses that get confused: a short cut shared immediately to sell next year’s edition, and a longer record that serves as an archive. They are shot and cut differently, and whoever settles that after the event gets a compromise instead of both.

01

What we deliver

  • A short social cut, finished by the next day
  • A longer record of the event or of full talks
  • On-site interviews with guests, partners and speakers
  • Audio taken from the desk, not from the camera
  • Vertical versions for stories and reels
  • Aerial coverage of outdoor events where conditions allow
02

Sound from the desk, not the camera

The most common fault in a recorded talk is not the picture but the sound — a camera ten metres away mostly records the room. So patching into the desk is the first thing we sort on site.

Where there is no desk, we bring our own microphones. Fixing it in post only goes so far, and it is audible.

03

The cut is worth most while the event is fresh

A short cut reaches furthest within twenty-four hours of the event. So it is cut first and the longer record waits.

In practice that means setting aside, during the event, the shots we know the short version will need — rather than reviewing everything from scratch afterwards.

Frequently asked

How fast is the cut ready?
The short social version arrives by the next day, the longer record within a week. A same-evening cut can be arranged — it means an editor on site, so it is agreed when booking, not on the day.
Do you record full talks?
Yes, including slide capture and a feed from the sound desk. For multi-day conferences it pays to agree in advance which rooms are covered — more rooms means more cameras, not a longer day.
